Dual-Diagnosis Program

Mental illness and addiction unfortunately commonly go hand in hand. The interaction between the two disorders is complex, so it can be difficult to tell which came first. When a person experiences both an addiction and mental health disorder, they are said to have a dual diagnosis.

Unfortunately, many mental health programs don’t offer effective integrated treatment for dual diagnosis. The Sylvia Brafman Mental Health Center is one of a few mental health programs in the United States with qualified staff with specific experience in treating dual diagnosis.
