The face of heroin use is changing in America.  It has long been perceived that heroin addiction mainly affected those living in inner cities and with less economic accessibility. A new study shows that this stereotype is far from the truth with 90% of the drugs users found to be white and 75% living in the suburbs outside of cities. Was Heroin Addiction Responsible for Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman’s Death?

Heroin addiction appears to be a factor in the sudden death of Oscar-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman. The 46-year-old father of three was found in a Manhattan apartment with a needle still embedded in his arm. The cause of death has yet to be officially determined, but the circumstances suggest that it was a heroin overdose.
