Kenny started his career working as a Clinical Dietitian in the acute care setting for two years. From there, he decided to branch out into the world of substance abuse and eating disorders, and has since worked the residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care as a Registered Dietitian. In addition to experience working in the clinical setting and multiple treatment centers, he has a passion for sports nutrition and extensive knowledge of dietary supplements.
Kenny developed his passion for dietetics and nutrition as a cross country/track runner in high school. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, he began studying dietetics/nutrition at Case Western Reserve University, where he ran NCAA cross country/track. At age 20, Kenny took a medical leave from school to seek treatment for his eating disorder. Since completing treatment at age 21, Kenny has also been personally affected by drug/alcohol addiction, which has led to his passion for both populations.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Dietetics/Nutrition at Keiser University in Pembroke Pines, FL. He is also a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)/Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) and is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
In addition to providing nutritional counseling and support to his patients and clients, Kenny also applies his knowledge of sports nutrition to optimize his performance as a competitive marathon runner. He has completed the Toronto, Boston, New York City, Chicago marathons, and Berlin marathons, and teaches his clients how to engage in healthy exercise habits while also listening to their bodies.
