Drug Rehab FL on Alcohol Awareness Month 2014

Alcohol Awareness Month in 2014 focuses on educating the youth as a preventative measure against the dangers of alcohol abuse and addiction. There are so many dangers associated with the misuse and abuse of alcohol and other substances including physical health problems, risky behavior (such as unprotected sex), violence, emotional problems, mental health problems and more. The first step to preventing youth alcohol abuse is to arm teenagers and young adults with the real facts of alcohol abuse as explained by drug rehab FL.

Drug Rehab FL Program Options

There are a number of different treatment options available to clients young and old who are struggling with alcohol abuse and addiction. These drug rehab FL treatment options include partial hospitalization programs(PHP), intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and aftercare.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): The partial hospitalization program is a rehabilitation program for clients where they spend plenty of time at the center but are still able to leave each day to sleep at home, go to school, go to work and so on.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): The intensive outpatient program is similar to PHP except that it is a much more concentrated program hence the name intensive. Clients sleep at home and are able to go to work but they spend much of their time in the outpatient drug rehab FL setting to work hard on their recovery efforts with a strong focus and structure.

There are, of course, inpatient programs but the outpatient and partial hospitalization programs offer up solutions for young clients who are in their studies to continue with going to school without interruption.

Aftercare: Aftercare programs help clients after they’ve completed their inpatient, outpatient or partial hospitalization programs. Many of the initiatives of these programs involve other alumni from their times in the programs providing a continued strong source of support for program graduates. Some alumni activities include organized trips and getaways, alumni-only support group meetings and alumni group counseling sessions. Aftercare programs help supplement clients’ at-home continued recovery efforts such as relapse prevention plans, stress management and attending local support group meetings.  Our aftercare program allows clients the flexibility of returning to a supportive environment after they leave our rehab center.
