Levels of Care
Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) offers a structured level of care designed for people ready to continue their recovery while maintaining active involvement in work, school, family, or other life commitments.
The Next Step
IOP works for people who’ve made substantial progress in earlier treatment and are ready for less structure but still need clinical oversight and peer support.
Our IOP programs meet four days per week, Monday through Thursday, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This focused daytime schedule provides consistency while allowing time for other responsibilities.
By the time you reach IOP, you’ve typically completed deep therapeutic work. The goal now is building confidence, developing independence, and establishing a recovery identity that will sustain you long after treatment ends.
IOP includes the same core therapeutic services as higher levels of care, compressed into focused half-day sessions.
As you progress through IOP, we help you develop a detailed relapse prevention plan specific to your triggers, transitioning into our Aftercare and Alumni Program.
We integrate dual diagnosis care, ensuring mental health challenges and addiction are treated holistically by the same clinical team even at the outpatient level.
You see the same people, develop relationships, and build community while progressing through a curriculum focused on relapse prevention and coping skills.
Finding Balance
While both IOP and PHP provide intensive treatment, the primary difference is hours and structure. PHP is a comprehensive, full-day program running five days a week. IOP compresses treatment into shorter daytime sessions (minimum 9 hours per week), giving you more freedom to manage the rest of your day.
IOP is ideal for working professionals who need treatment without completely disrupting their careers. If your job is important to your identity, your income, or your stability, IOP’s focused daytime schedule allows you to continue working while receiving clinical care. It also works well for students, parents, and caregivers who have responsibilities at home. People further along in their recovery who are ready to consolidate gains and practice independence thrive in IOP.
