Levels of Care
Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) represent a bridge between the intensive structure of residential treatment and traditional outpatient care.
A Balanced Approach
Our PHP clients participate in comprehensive, intensive daily programming, returning to their supportive living environment each evening.
As a highly structured level of care, our Partial Hospitalization Program involves robust daily clinical programming. This level of care works exceptionally well for people stepping down from residential treatment or those who need intensive clinical support but don’t require 24/7 medical supervision. Clients in our PHP program may live at home or choose to live on campus while attending treatment during the day.
Sessions run consistently throughout the week, offering deep, integrated therapy while allowing individuals to maintain crucial external connections and manage their personal recovery environment during the evenings.
During your time in PHP, you participate in the full spectrum of evidence-based therapies while maintaining connection to your home environment.
Most people don’t stay in PHP indefinitely. It’s a bridge level. As you progress, we help you develop the skills necessary for success in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
You receive individual addiction counseling focused on understanding your triggers, developing coping skills, and addressing the thought patterns that drive substance use.
If you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, or trauma, PHP provides psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual therapy, and group counseling.
Whether your primary concern is addiction, mental illness, or both, our PHP treats the whole person. We recognize that addiction and mental health are often intertwined. In PHP, you receive integrated treatment addressing all elements simultaneously with a coordinated clinical team.
A Culture of Support
One of PHP’s greatest strengths is the daily community it creates. Unlike traditional outpatient treatment, you gather with a cohort of people in recovery. You develop friendships with those walking the same path, accelerating healing in ways that individual therapy alone cannot achieve. You become part of a recovery community.
Destination Hope was one of Florida’s first partial hospitalization programs and remains a leader in this level of care. For nearly two decades, we’ve refined our approach to day treatment, building a program that combines clinical rigor with genuine compassion. We’ve helped thousands of people use PHP as a turning point in their recovery.
