Recovery for Baby Boomers and Older Adults
Although there is an acknowledged need in the treatment community for programs that meet the unique requirements of baby boomers and older adults, treatment facilities will need new strategies to attract and serve this population. While people in their 50s and 60s suffer from similar disorders as younger patients, they have a completely different set of social, emotional, and physiological needs.
By designing services specifically for this population and using marketing strategies that speak to them, treatment facilities can better reach those who need their programs. This can be a tremendous tool for marketing, says Ben Brafman, CEO of Destination Hope, LLC, a Florida-based treatment center. Also important is choosing the correct marketing channel for your audience and finding the right way to reach them. Alumni programs are also critical to the success of baby boomers and older adults. These satisfied customers are also more likely to create positive word-of-mouth feedback about their experiences at your facility.
